A continuation of the War of the Worlds, Miniature book, this poster uses the same dialogue to represent a scene from the movie, War of the Worlds (2005), on a large scale. I chose to use the lightning scene because it is beautiful in the way it builds anticipation and sets the mood for the rest of the movie.
During the scene, father and daughter are watching a strange storm occur. Lightning strikes throughout the scene, interrupting the dialogue. The father and daughter forget the issues holding them apart and look to each other for comfort in the face of the terrifying storm.
Reconstructing the scene in poster form, I used the typography to portray the anxiety of the lightning striking. The dialogue reacts to the lightning, just how the characters react to it in the movie. Every element of the poster is arranged to have the movement and energy of lightning striking.
